RAIN OR SHINE - The Embers headline and Jazz by Carroll Dashiell opens

Event Summary

Plans are to continue the event in light of the current weather forecast.  In fact, the last two Freeboots sported similar forecasts and both enjoyed a brief drizzling of rain for a few minutes followed by beautiful weather.  So, cross your fingers for the same and plan to bring a rain jacket for good luck!  A heavy continuing rain would cause the event to be cancelled for safety reasons and the event would not be rescheduled.  Please consult the Uptown web site before the event for the latest report.

Enjoy this free, live music event on the Fridays before the first five ECU home football games. Live music, beverages, activities for kids, merchent booths, free food tastings and good company await you at Freeboot!

This week's opening band starts at 5 pm and will feature jazz by ECU's Carroll Dashiell followed by The Embers! The headline band plays from 6:30-8 pm. Enjoy a free food sampling from Chico's and Boli's at 6:00 pm and activities for children including face painting, a football toss, pottery making, a moon walk, balloons and more!
