Uptown Greenville is a private nonprofit corporation established in 1992
Our Mission: Uptown Greenville is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to developmplans and implement actions necessary to revitalize and to ensure continued growth to the Uptown Business District of Greenville, North Carolina.
Uptown Greenville supports an informed network of citizens and business leaders to provide input into decision making policy about Uptown issues including parking, security, sanitation, landscaping, and beautification. Uptown Greenville partners with public and private organizations to develop concepts and possibilities for future projects and events in the Uptown area.
Uptown Greenville helps to promote the City of Greenville’s Façade Grant program, which provides matching funds for exterior improvements of Uptown buildings.
Uptown Greenville produces and promotes annual events and festivals including Freeboot Fridays, the First Friday Uptown ArtWalk, the annual community PirateFest celebration, and the Uptown Umbrella Market held on Wednesdays from 5-8 in the summer season. Uptown Greenville also sponsors the Greenville Jaycees Christmas Parade.
Uptown Greenville also supports the Uptown Business district through promotions and marketing campaigns throughout the year.
