PirateFest is a large outdoor celebration offering food, fun, and entertainment for pirates of all ages! Kick- off the event with the Uptown ArtWalk on Friday, April 17 from 6-9pm. Events on Saturday include the Pig-Skin Pig-out, International Festival, Uptown Arts Festival, Blackbeard’s Marketplace, Buccaneer Bash Main Stage & Grog Garden, Little Pirates Pavilion, and the Pirate Encampment. PirateFest offers 3 live music stages, a shuttle running from Town Common to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, and historical bus tours. Finish the night off with the headline band performance at the Buccaneer Bash Main Stage. Learn how to become a pirate at the school of pirate and be on the lookout for the roving pirate entertainers complete with sword fighting, black powder demonstrations, and more!

26th Annual Pigskin Pig-Out:
The Pigskin Pig-Out will also offer the Parade of Pigs, carnival rides, PeeDee's birthday celebration, live entertainment, and Pirate football. Pirate Encampment:
A motley crew of pirates will descend on Greenville for the 3rd Annual PirateFest celebration! Watch out for sword fights throughout Uptown Greenville and black powder demonstrations on the Town Common at the Pirate Encampment located near Little Pirates Pavilion.
Little Pirate's Pavilion:
Located on the Town Common, Little Pirate’s Pavilion includes live music, the School of Pirate, crafts, activities and giveaways along with educational displays on the life of a pirate. For a small fee, little Pirates can enjoy an inflatable Pirate Ship and other bounces provided by Fun Time Promotions.
International Festival:
Located on the Town Common, the International Festival celebrates the diversity that makes Greenville the jewel of North Carolina. It features live music and entertainment, food, and arts & crafts from all around the world! The 2009 International Festival promises to be larger than ever!
Uptown Arts Festival:
Located along Evans Street, the Uptown Arts Festival features North Carolina artists, art organizations, and Uptown Greenville restaurants. Fine arts and crafts will be on sale and on display. Area art organizations will have booths complete with demonstrations and children’s art activities.
Blackbeard’s Market Place:
Located along Evans St., Blackbeard’s Marketplace will be chock full of handmade arts and crafts and food galore!
Historical Bus Tours:
Tours will be held from 1pm-3pm (tours lasting approximately 1 hour). Each tour will leave from the shuttle stop at 5th and Evans across from Starlight Café. There free bus tours will give people the opportunity to see historical sites found in Uptown Greenville and even on the campus of East Carolina University. Roger Kammerer, a local artist, author, and historian will lead the tours.
Buccaneer Bash Main Stage & Grog Garden (10am-7pm):Located on the Rose Parking Lot (4th and Evans St.), enjoy a variety of live music and grog throughout the day at the Buccaneer Bash Stage & Grog Garden! Regroup with your crew at the end of the day at the Buccaneer Bash for the headline band beginning at 5:30 pm.
