GREENVILLE, N.C. — Uptown Greenville welcomes Riverside Recreation to the district for its grand opening Saturday, June 15 located at 817 Dickinson Ave. The ribbon cutting will kick off the celebration at 8:00 a.m.

Riverside Recreation offers rentals for Kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP), paddle boats, tandem kayaks, and tandem bikes. Their hope is that Greenville locals can leave the Tar River “feeling rested, replenished, and reconnected” by providing safe, fun, and affordable activities.

It will be offering free 30-minute rentals at the Town Common for all guests beginning at 10 a.m.

Owner Darnesha King feels the Greenway and Town Common are “the jewels of Greenville”. King has a passion for river activation and learned the ropes of small business management classes at Pitt Community College to bring her idea to life. King was a winner of the Small Business Planning Grant offered by the City of Greenville.

“We hope that after reconnecting and finding rest on the river the activity leaves our customers feeling replenished, refilled, recharged, and reloaded, ready to take that energy back into their day-to-day lives,” says King.

By providing drop-off services to the Town Common, Riverside will take any hassle out of spending a day on the river, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to enjoy the river’s tranquil ambiance.

While the grand opening is this Saturday, Riverside Recreation will also offer yoga classes this fall at their Dickinson Avenue studio.
