Taft Development Group and Ward Holdings, two local Greenville developers announce the launch of an ambitious new $54 million Campus-Edge Student Housing project near Uptown Greenville and the main campus of East Carolina University. The five-story mixed-use facility will feature 275 apartments containing 675 bedrooms and will open in August 2017 to welcome students for the Fall Semester.

The tower will contain 20,000 square feet of retail, a 700 car parking deck, courtyards, resort-style pool, outdoor amenity center, state-of-the-art fitness center, and a roof-top sky-view terrace. The community will comprise 16 floor plans with studios, 1BR, 2BR, 3BR, and 4BR units. Each floor plan will contain private bathrooms, be fully furnished and offer premium finishes like granite countertops and plank floors. The complex will have state of the art security systems, including cameras, electronic access control and high speed wireless internet.

The community will capitalize on the construction of the $22 million 10th Street Connector project and will be directly across the street from the recently announced $122 Million ECU Student Union scheduled to break ground Summer 2015.

Student residents will only be a 3 minute walk across the street to the 150,000 sf Student Rec Center, Joyner Library, and the new world-class Student Union.

The Preiss Company, the nation’s third largest privately held student housing management company headquartered in Raleigh, has been selected to manage the project.

The Taft-Ward Team is currently completing a sister project, The Boundary @ West End, only 2 blocks to the North, adjacent to Uptown Greenville and the ECU Main Campus. Taft Development Group has recently completed a similarly designed mixed-use project across from Cameron Village near Downtown Raleigh and two blocks from North Carolina State University.
